Still investigating the validity of the knee air bag as standard features for 2004 2.5X.

Also, the check engine light mysteriously went away. I will drive the car for a few more days before I take it in for service. I don't want to be visiting the dealership for every little problems. I guess I have to realize, and accept that Jaguar doesn't have the same reliability of Acura, which is what I drove for many years.

Drove it to work for the first time today.

Problems noted immediately:

1) Check engine light is on (22 mile)
2) Car points to the right. An alignment is needed
3) A mysterious squeak coming from the bottom of the steering wheel

Spoke with insurance company and found that the car will cost ~$400 / 6 months to insure. This is inline with what I assume to pay.

This is going to be the first blog for this vehicle. I will include the purchasing and the negotiating process when I have time. At this point, I am too busy talking about the new vehicle!!

This blog is intended to be a running documentary for my ownership of the Jag. Therefore, I will detail the service, maintenance, incidents, and others. Hopefully, this blog will be a good record for the vehicle.

First - taking delivery

The process was simple and quick. The dealerships already had all the paper typed and it was ready for me to sign. The salesman walked me through the vehicle, as if I don't know EVERYTHING there is to know about the car!! Hey, I am an informed buyer. :-)

Everything checked out fine, except that there are a couple paint chips on the left rear door that the dealer promised to fix. I drove the car home at 6:00pm.
